A MasterCard or Visa number is required to confirm your appointment.

Cancellations, rescheduling or appointment type changes:

I ask that you give a minimum 24-hour notice for changes or for cancellations, so that others that may be on the waiting list can get in. Since the salon is closed on Sunday and Monday, I need you to cancel Tuesday appointments by noon Saturday. You may either leave a message on voice mail, or email your request. Without the minimum 24-hour notice, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the service. We hope you understand that having this policy helps to better serve our clients and maintain reasonable rates. At no time will your credit card number ever be unsecured. Our computer has password protection on multiple levels, and our premises are secured 24-hours a day by a leading security firm.


To schedule or reschedule:

I prefer email when cancelling or rescheduling, since I can pick this up from any computer; voice mail can only be accessed from my office. I can also respond at any time, night or day to an email. Please be patient with the returning of phone calls. Quite often I am inundated with messages, some of which I have difficulty understanding, and it takes me a few days to get back to each caller with the same personal attention all deserve. It is helpful if you speak clearly and slowly, leave both home and cellular telephone, or email address and give me some options that will work with your schedule. With your email address I can more readily respond, regardless of the time. you may wish to schedule an appointment online; to change or cancel a currently scheduled appointment, you must call or email the salon.


Bad weather:

When the weather creates dangerous driving conditions, I will attempt to call each client and reschedule them to the earliest possible time; my regular days off allow me more flexibility to get clients in sooner.


Sickness:

Me: Rarely do I become too ill to stand upright and perform well, but when that happens, believe me, I am getting near to calling 911. Just as with bad weather, I will attempt to call each client and reschedule the appointment.

Clients: If you suddenly become too ill to come to your appointment, a call is appreciated. If you have been sick for a day or so, and you feel you may still be too ill to come to your appointment, please give me the 24-hour notice.


Emergency hair:

I understand emergency hair. Here are a couple of examples:

? When a friend, or yikes – you, get a “wild hair” and decide to attempt your own color and it comes out badly…let me know. I will try to get you in on either Monday or Wednesday, at the very latest.

? Occasionally regular clients, with pre-booked appointments call with a funeral or other true emergency out of town trip and need to get in before the next scheduled appointment. I will do whatever it takes to get the client taken care of.


Cut and Style Design

All haircuts include a relaxing scalp massage, shampoo, a personalized conditioning treatment, blow-dry styling and some instruction on how to recreate the style with minimal effort.


Children:

Well-behaved children are always welcome. There is an area provided for them to sit in and enjoy cable television or choose from a selection of children’s videotapes, and a table for them to sit at to eat a snack you bring them. It becomes an uncomfortable situation for other clients when there are children running around, out of control or bored and bothering them. Only you know whether or not your child can sit comfortably during the amount of time you will be in your service, so you are the judge. Before you leave the salon, please check the area for items that belong to your child and tidy the area for the next client.


Service, Service, Service:

It is important that we both see the final color and style; so all colors will be booked with either a haircut or styling. Please do not ask to leave the salon with wet hair. Your satisfaction is my ultimate goal.
